Stelvio Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Verification & Validation Engineer to lead software quality assurance and testing efforts for a regulated, hardware-integrated software product. This senior leadership role focuses on defining test strategy, guiding execution, and ensuring high standards of quality and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Define, plan, execute, and report end-to-end software testing activities in accordance with applicable standards, including IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and software lifecycle management practices
Ensure testing aligns with the organization’s quality management system and risk management processes
Lead and mentor software test engineers
Collaborate with system test, software development, hardware, and product management teams to plan and execute testing activities across R&D
Own the development and delivery of software quality and verification & validation documentation
Ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time at each development milestone
Manage defect tracking and review activities, including coordinating defect review board (DRB) meetings
Provide clear, accurate reporting on software quality, test progress, and risk status to stakeholders

Required

8+ years of experience in regulated software quality assurance and software testing
Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience supporting at least one full software product lifecycle, including delivery of QA documentation from product definition through post-release
Proven ability to plan and execute testing in cross-functional environments and resolve issues identified during testing
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience converting manual test cases and procedures into automated testing solutions
