Military Veteran Program Manager
CAGE is a company in the commercial and industrial mechanical contracting sector, and they are seeking a Veteran Programs Manager to lead a national initiative connecting veterans and military spouses to career pathways in skilled trades. The role involves designing and managing veteran workforce programs, building employer partnerships, and ensuring measurable outcomes for participants.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage end-to-end veteran workforce programs — outreach, intake, case management, training placement, and post-placement support
Develop and maintain employer partnerships with contractors, trade employers, unions, and training providers to create placement pipelines for veterans
Manage program budgets, grants, and compliance reporting; ensure timely deliverables and performance against KPIs
Provide benefits navigation and individualized transition plans by coordinating VA resources, credentialing, and training pathways for participants
Track program metrics, analyze outcomes, and produce regular reports to senior leadership and funders; use data to drive continuous improvement
Train internal teams and external partners on military culture, referral protocols, and best practices for veteran engagement and retention
Qualification
Required
5+ years managing veteran programs, military transition initiatives, or workforce development programs with measurable placement outcomes
Deep knowledge of VA benefits, DoD transition processes, and military culture
Proven success building employer partnerships and placing candidates into skilled trades or construction-related roles
Experience managing grants, budgets, compliance, and funder reporting
Proficiency with CRM or case management platforms and comfort using data to drive decisions
Authorization to work in the United States and ability to travel occasionally for employer engagement and events
Preferred
Prior experience in construction, mechanical, HVAC, or skilled-trades workforce development programs
PMP, CWDP, or equivalent workforce development / program management certification
