Operations Supervisor, June 2026 Executive Development Program
Carter's Inc. is the largest North American apparel retailer exclusively for babies and young children, and they are seeking an Operations Supervisor as part of their Executive Development Program. Responsibilities
Learn the core functions of distribution including receiving, picking, packing, shipping
Develop skills in team supervision, safety management, and process improvement
Direct proper utilization of people, equipment, technology and facility for distribution operations in assigned area
Understand and achieve all functional area performance metrics (safety, accuracy, efficiency and service for all channels of business
Know and achieve productivity targets while maintaining high levels of safety, accuracy, service and morale
Manage the daily workload/workflow for your specific functional area and shift and make sound business adjustments to ensure your functional area is operating at most efficient model
Provide timely feedback to associates
Ensure your team is achieving/exceeding daily production plans through training, coaching and leadership
Understand how orders are prioritized, released, and routed. Gain experience in production planning, system logic, and communicating with internal departments
Monitor UPH goals to ensure daily SLAs are being met and advise building leaders of progress
Manage the flow of work in the facility in order to meet/exceed well-defined service level agreements (SLA)
Ensure waves are replenished, picking is timely and staffing levels are adjusted to support accomplishment of timely wave completion
Assist in coordinating and executing hourly hiring processes, including posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and supporting onboarding logistics
Attend hiring events and support onsite interview coordination and candidate flow
Assist with planning and executing employee engagement activities, appreciation events, and recognition programs
Partner with HR team members to develop communication materials that promote initiatives and events
Qualification
Required
Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (3.2 GPA or higher strongly preferred) at time of graduation
Required to have graduated within 6 months of class start date
Must be able to start in the role full-time by June 2026
Bachelor's Degree in Operations/Supply Chain or related field
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to shifting priorities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Solid communication skills both written and verbal
Organization skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands
