Courthouse Assistant Site Supervisor
Goodwill of Central Illinois is seeking an Assistant Site Supervisor to assist in supervising, directing, and coordinating activities of workers maintaining cleanliness in commercial or institutional buildings. The role involves overseeing a team, ensuring quality assurance, training employees, and addressing customer complaints.

Responsibilities
Develops service schedules, estimates worker hour requirements, and adjusts work processes to ensure completion of job assignments and conformance to specifications. Inspects completed work
Evaluates work processes and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the work crews
Resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
Initiates and/or suggests action plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Motivates team to achieve daily production goals and fills in as necessary to model goal attainment
Maintains departmental records including production, attendance, timesheets, inspection logs, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections
Confers with other staff and departments to coordinate activities
Assures preventative maintenance of equipment occurs
Manages inventory of supplies and equipment. Selects and orders approved supplies, materials, and equipment
Acknowledges building maintenance issues and requests and directs to appropriate departments
Enforces safety regulations
Organizes the team’s daily tasks and directs workers engaged in janitorial duties such as cleaning office areas, classrooms, hallways, lobbies, breakrooms/cafeterias, restrooms, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other assigned work areas
Trains new employees in janitorial processes, customer service, safety, and quality standards
Qualification
Required
Ability to supervise, direct, coordinate, and control activities of workers engaged in maintaining cleanliness of buildings
Experience in training employees and directing their work
Ability to ensure satisfactory completion of work and conduct inspections
Ability to address customer complaints and resolve problems
Ability to communicate effectively with Site Supervisor/Contract Representatives
Ability to develop service schedules and estimate worker hour requirements
Ability to evaluate work processes and increase efficiency of work crews
Ability to maintain departmental records including production, attendance, timesheets, inspection logs, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections
Ability to manage inventory of supplies and equipment
Ability to enforce safety regulations
Ability to organize daily tasks and direct workers engaged in janitorial duties
Ability to provide feedback and encouragement to direct reports and co-workers
Ability to work well with others and contribute to team outputs
Ability to provide timely guidance and effective feedback to others
Ability to listen and comprehend effectively in communication
Ability to build and maintain customer satisfaction
Preferred
Experience in housekeeping, floor care, construction clean up, retail, or mailroom
Familiarity working with diverse populations including people with developmental and/or physical disabilities
Expertise in quality assurance base standards, requirements, specifications, and guidelines
Ability to recognize risks in activities and apply measures to control and manage those risks
