Responsibilities

Mitigating Publix scheduling and financial risk in reference to equipment, specialty cases, self-contained and remote refrigerated cases, hot bars, cold bars and cafeteria equipment. This is accomplished by:
Analyzing the Construction Department’s Equipment Delivery Schedule (EDS) in conjunction with the suppliers’ lead times and construction pipeline to determine individual delivery dates for each required material based on standard lead times, current supplier volumes, and construction phase or milestone dates
Work with the suppliers and Construction to resolve any delivery issues caused by late, incomplete, or damaged shipments, construction schedule changes, weather implications, etc
Research plan revisions utilizing the Landmark database and Construction Department change orders to identify and complete order revisions
Managing and replenishing warehouse inventory at optimal levels while maintaining appropriate safety stock
File damaged or missing freight claims
Track information from ongoing new/remodel store projects
Ordering equipment, specialty cases, self-contained and remote refrigerated cases, hot bars, cold bars and cafeteria equipment that support the needs of the Deli, Bakery, Grocery, Environmental Design, Interior Construction, Facilities Construction, Retail, Industrial Construction, Facility Services, Publix stores and Real Estate
Managing the workflow and responding to requests from the equipment request tracking database in a timely manner
Identifying, researching and resolving delivery issues for late, lost, stolen, damaged or missing equipment as reported by Publix associates and contractors

Required

Associate's degree in Business or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience
Two (2) years' experience in Purchasing or Supply Management
Driver's license with good driving record
Must have a willingness to work core hours 8:30am - 4:30pm
Must work a 40 hour week
Intermediate purchasing skills
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and OneNote)
Knowledge of project management
Knowledge of the design process
Knowledge of Landmark
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans
Ability to be customer-focused
Communication skills
Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
Ability to multi-task by handling more than one priority at a time
Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation, commitment and integrity

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business
4 years' experience in Purchasing or Supply Management
Purchasing certification: A.P.P., C.P.M. or CPSM
Advanced knowledge of SAP
