Responsibilities
Lead advanced research projects to develop new technologies and solutions that align with the company’s strategic objectives. Perform original research and innovative thinking to develop new technologies, algorithms, methodologies, software, or architecture
Apply expert scientific and engineering knowledge to solve complex business and technical problems that have significant impact on research projects. Research problems of moderate scope, requiring evaluation of identifiable, novel patterns and in-depth analysis using advanced techniques
Lead technical projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget, and preparing detailed technical reports and documentation. Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation to support project findings and advancements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring research activities comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for effectively communicating research findings and project updates
Leverage knowledge of RAN protocols, operational expertise, and AI/ML techniques to drive performance improvements, optimization, and cost reductions in Cloud RAN and Open RAN environments
Identify network applications and solutions to improve AT&T’s network management and optimization capabilities
Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy provisioning systems, leveraging software development and information and data modeling expertise
Conduct design and development work in the areas of new products/technologies, systems/platform architecture, hardware/software development engineering, technical security
Work primarily involves new and emerging technologies and technical architectures on projects with a status between inception and implementation/software maturity
May be responsible for architecture design or assessment, standards, system or software development, analysis and testing of infrastructure and services that use network and systems technologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Informational Technology, Data Communications from an accredited university
3-5 years of experience (or letter of recommendation from relevant subject matter expert) in design and development of Gen AI, AI/ML, RAN, or Cloud architecture solutions including delivery of innovative solutions
Exceptions may be considered with equivalent experience in RAN, Cloud, or Networking technologies
