Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex individual tax returns, including those involving K-1s, partnerships, AZ returns and Multi-state returns and passive activities
Collaborate with clients from retirement communities to ensure accurate and compliant tax filings
Utilize Ultratax CS to efficiently process and manage tax documentation
Conduct thorough reviews of corporate tax returns to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance
Stay updated on tax regulations and apply them effectively to client situations
Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and clarify filing requirements
Manage multiple tax preparation projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met
Provide detailed and thoughtful advice to clients regarding tax-saving strategies and compliance
Maintain organized and detailed records of all tax-related documentation
Work closely with team members to improve processes and share best practices
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation and review
Proficiency in software tools such as Ultratax CS, CCH ProSystem Fx, and similar platforms
Strong knowledge of individual and corporate tax filing processes
Experience handling tax returns for partnerships and passive activities
Attention to detail and commitment to providing accurate results
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and collaboration
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Familiarity with tax requirements specific to retirement community clientele
