Responsibilities
Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings based on dictation or handwritten drafts
File legal pleadings and documents with the court system in compliance with established procedures
Manage and maintain case files and records to ensure accuracy and accessibility
Coordinate and schedule appointments, hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
Monitor and record attorneys’ billable hours to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
Assist with drafting and reviewing estate planning, corporate, and tax-related legal documentation
Support trial preparation by organizing materials and providing administrative assistance
Communicate effectively with attorneys, court personnel, and clients to facilitate smooth case management
Ensure all legal forms and files are up-to-date and comply with applicable regulations
Qualification
Required
At least 5 years of experience as a legal secretary, assistant, or paralegal
Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
Proficiency in drafting, proofreading, and editing legal documents
Ability to manage schedules, appointments, and deadlines efficiently
Skilled in maintaining and organizing case files and legal records
Familiarity with corporate, estate planning, and tax law practices
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
