Responsibilities

Handle communication with the public and employees on behalf of ADEC
Lead and create external and internal communications that reflects ADEC’s mission, vision, and values
Responsible for marketing and cultivating relationships with the public, local media
Drive engagement on social media platforms
Content lead for ADEC’s website
Work with programming and ADEC departments to share ADEC’s special events, resources, and mission with community

Required

Bachelor's Degree in related field, such as journalism, communications, marketing, or business
Two to three years of experience with communication, design or brand marketing. Experience with graphic design and photography a plus
Must have strong writing skills that focused on a marketing point of view
Must have strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Experience with WordPress, social media scheduling tools and online content, Raiser's Edge
Must have strong computer, administrative and technology skills. Must be open to learning new technology as trends occur
Strong understanding and commitment to ADEC's mission. Must have understanding of ADEC's programming to effectively develop communications to share with community
Demonstrate strong leadership skills to include team building, initiative, collaboration and integrity
Valid driver's license and good driving record. Position requires traveling throughout Elkhart and St. Joseph counties as well as to state functions as needed
No evidence of criminal activity involving a dependent population or any violent criminal activity
No evidence of illegal drug use or drug abuse. Must pass drug screen
