Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in Operations and Quality, providing strategic counsel on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, and capability building
Assess current and future business needs to identify people-related risks and opportunities, particularly within regulated and compliance-driven environments
Use data, trends, and analytics to inform HR strategies that support operational excellence, quality outcomes, and business continuity
Influence leadership thinking by offering alternative perspectives, insights, and scenario-based recommendations
Partner with leaders to shape learning and development strategies that strengthen technical, leadership, and quality capabilities
Identify opportunities to enhance organizational effectiveness through coaching, facilitation, and targeted interventions
Anticipate and proactively address employee relations and organizational risks associated with operational change, quality events, and workforce transformation
Act as a strategic resource to leaders on complex employee matters, ensuring alignment with policy, regulatory, and cultural standards
Oversee investigations and resolution strategies, ensuring appropriate escalation and consistent, well-documented decision-making
Guide leaders on performance management strategies that reinforce accountability, compliance, and development
Partner with Talent Acquisition to shape and support global recruitment strategies for Operations and Quality roles
Advise leaders on building sustainable talent pipelines for critical operational, technical, and quality positions
Support succession planning and leadership readiness for key roles that are critical to business continuity and regulatory compliance
Champion initiatives that reinforce a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement
Leverage engagement and pulse survey insights to advise leaders on organizational health, risk areas, and targeted action plans
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen employment branding and cultural storytelling within Operations and Quality
Own and influence performance management and talent review processes for Operations and Quality client groups
Partner with leaders to identify high-potential and diverse talent and develop thoughtful succession and development strategies
Advise on inclusive recruiting, development, and retention practices that strengthen representation across technical and leadership roles
Align HR strategies to Global HR priorities while ensuring applicability within regulated operational environments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
12+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior HR Business Partner or equivalent strategic roles
Demonstrated experience supporting Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and/or Quality organizations in medical device, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated industries
Proven ability to translate business and quality strategies into integrated, enterprise-level HR initiatives
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders in compliance-driven environments
Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to assess trends, risks, and organizational impact
Deep knowledge of U.S. and California employment laws and employee relations frameworks
Exceptional judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive matters
Flexibility to support global Operations and Quality organizations; occasional travel may be required
Preferred
SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification
