Responsibilities
Design, develop, and automate solutions leveraging Google Vault APIs for archival, search, and data export workflows
Build integration services connecting Vault with internal compliance, auditing, and security platforms
Develop monitoring scripts/tools to ensure Vault policy configurations align with data retention and legal hold requirements
Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and IT teams to support eDiscovery requests and retention policy enforcement
Implement scalable Vault data workflows (exports, holds, audits) across Gmail, Drive, and Chat data sources
Troubleshoot Vault-related issues, API failures, and data inconsistencies in production environments
Document Vault configurations, workflows, and automation scripts following enterprise standards
Stay current with Google Workspace and Vault roadmap updates to advise on platform optimizations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
4+ years of software engineering experience (Python, Go, or Java preferred)
2+ years of direct experience with Google Vault administration or automation
Strong understanding of Google Workspace Admin SDKs and APIs
Experience with RESTful API development and integration
Familiarity with data access governance, eDiscovery processes, and compliance protocols
Working knowledge of OAuth2 authentication, Google Cloud IAM, and service accounts
Preferred
Experience with legal or compliance technology (e.g., Exterro, Relativity)
Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, or BigQuery
Knowledge of scripting for audit automation and log analysis
Excellent communication and documentation skills
