Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document finance-related requirements for Workday implementation
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and work closely with technical teams to design solutions aligned with best practices
Support the configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Financial Management modules, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Asset Management, and Procurement
Facilitate and participate in workshops, requirement sessions, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to enhance financial operations through Workday functionalities
Develop and maintain clear documentation, including business process flows, requirements, test scripts, and user guides
Provide training and support to end-users in the US and Canada, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of Workday Finance modules
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Finance, and external Workday consultants, to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met
Assist in data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities as part of the implementation process
Maintain compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal/regional financial regulations and company policies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
15 - 20 years of experience
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 1 year focused on Workday Finance implementations or similar ERP systems
Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles in the US and/or Canadian context
Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specifications
Proven ability to perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with reporting tools (e.g., Workday Reports, Excel, Power BI) is a plus
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team across US and Canada time zones
Preferred
Workday certification in Financial Management or related modules is highly desirable
