Payroll Specialist
Private Company is seeking a full-time detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to assist in managing payroll functions for the organization. This role involves ensuring accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with regulations while acting as a liaison between HR, employees, and finance.

Responsibilities
Process all payroll cycles accurately and on time
Manage wages, deductions, taxes, expenses, and garnishments
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Assist and track multi-state tax registrations for all companies and tax types
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
Generate payroll reports for management and finance as needed
Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits and 401(k) questions and support
Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS and payroll systems
Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll and employee data
Support audits and reporting related to payroll and benefits
Act as a liaison between employees, HR, and finance
Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Assist with onboarding and offboarding payroll and benefits processes
Participates in new hire orientations and employee training
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Detail-oriented and reliable
Experience in managing payroll functions
Ability to ensure accurate payroll processing
Knowledge of benefits administration
Understanding of compliance with federal and state regulations
Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy
Excellent employee support skills
Experience in processing payroll cycles accurately and on time
Ability to manage wages, deductions, taxes, expenses, and garnishments

Experience in tracking multi-state tax registrations
Ability to reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
