Senior Accountant (Management Company)
Proterra Investment Partners LP is an alternative investment manager focused on private debt and private equity investments in food and agriculture. The Senior Accountant will support global accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for consolidated company results, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and maintaining communication with the accounting team and senior management.

Responsibilities
Oversee new management companies' month-end close and consolidation
Calculate and prepare entries for the U.S. office activity in Business Central, including management fees, intercompany and related party transactions, accruals, fixed assets, T&E, O&O and prepaid expenses
Assist in the setup, process development, and implementation for onboarding management companies into accounting and expense management systems
Oversee Acretrader Management entity activity & financials and own the relationship with the accounting team
Prepare and analyze balance sheets and income statements to ensure financials are complete and accurate
Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements to senior leaders
Provide accounting support, secondary reviews, and guidance to financial analysts in the U.S
Manage the development and analysis of new consolidated management companies’ budget and forecast process
Generate and analyze consolidated company financial statements and budget-to-actual variances and provide commentary for senior leaders
Manage and monitor U.S. cash management processes for all management companies
Develop budget and forecast reporting, working closely with analysts to analyze and interpret variances
Support the annual budget process, including compiling and consolidating departmental inputs and assisting with budget reviews with analysts
Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for all management fees and organization & offering related activity
Oversee other ad hoc accounting team tasks including regulatory reporting, tax, system accounting maintenance, and process improvements
Partner with Operations and Fund Accounting teams to effectively communicate details and ensure the accuracy of management fee calculations, capital calls, and fund launch‑related expenses
Co-Own and manage the administration of Concur
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
Minimum of 5 years of experience in management company accounting within a financial institution
Strong working knowledge of Concur and advanced proficiency in Excel
Operates independently, proactively identify issues and opportunities, and drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight while maintaining strong cross‑functional communication
Solid technical accounting skills, including a working knowledge of GAAP and a strong commitment to internal controls
Proven problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple demands and priorities; demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and effectively communicate alternative solutions
Demonstrated attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any U.S. employer
