Responsibilities
Own the software design and development for major components of the Storage Service Infrastructure
Be a rock solid coder and a distributed systems generalist
Able to dive deep into any part of the Control Plane stack and low level systems
Design broad distributed system interactions

Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience delivering large scale, highly available distributed systems and backend services
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
Extensive experience developing clean code in Java (or similar object oriented language), as well as scripting languages such as Python
Strong understanding of storage systems (block / object / file) and distributed persistence technologies
System design experience on designing complex distributed system with ultra low latency and very high throughput

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
