Responsibilities
Comply with Code of Conduct Requirements and all Cardinal Rules (e.g. Quality and Safety)
Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction
All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable Company policies and procedures
In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of Company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives
Manage multiple employees, over three shifts, in the Mechanical and Creep & Rupture work areas
Ensures that all employees work in a safe manner and that each employee is properly trained in all safety and quality procedures. Ensures that good housekeeping practices are consistently followed (6S)
Provides leadership to employees and ensures they have the proper tools to perform their job safely and efficiently
Responsible to drive safety, 6S, quality, dispatch adherence and productivity requirements in the most cost-effective manner
Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Ensure that all machines are functioning properly and contact maintenance, or preapproved external service providers, if the equipment requires repair
Ensure testing is in accordance to procedure and specifications
Engages the team in identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects in the areas of safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction
Provides employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution. Gives necessary feedback on employee performance and behavior
Qualification
Required
Destructive testing experience mandatory
Root cause and failure analysis experience is ideal
Manage multiple employees, over three shifts, in the Mechanical and Creep & Rupture work areas
Ensures that all employees work in a safe manner and that each employee is properly trained in all safety and quality procedures
Provides leadership to employees and ensures they have the proper tools to perform their job safely and efficiently
Responsible to drive safety, 6S, quality, dispatch adherence and productivity requirements in the most cost-effective manner
