International Manufacturing Manager

PLP is focused on enhancing global manufacturing performance through collaboration in equipment, process, and product engineering. The International Manufacturing Manager will lead process improvements, manage manufacturing equipment, and drive operational efficiency across international sites.

Electrical & Electronic Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Coach International manufacturing engineering and operations management for development
Lead technical process improvement and troubleshooting support on metal and plastic fabrication processes
Drive global productivity as measured by process KPIs
Align international sites on operations standards (GOS)
Manage fleet of manufacturing equipment identifying risks, supporting significant downtime recovery
Maintain and update global proprietary machine design drawing catalog
Lead global machine maintenance strategy with systems to improve asset availability
Review and support new capital equipment business case development driving productivity improvements with standardization
Introduce new advances in manufacturing equipment and tooling
Assess overall operations performance and drive improvement actions

Required

B.S. Degree in Engineering
Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing process engineering
Minimum of five years of operations management experience driving efficiency improvements
Working knowledge of manufacturing technology and processing methods
Experience in at least 2 of the following: Stamping, Forging, CNC Machining, Casting, or Plastic Injection Molding
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerBI
Familiarity with MRP and capacity and production planning software
30% travel requirement (ability to travel internationally to all of our locations is required)
Experience coaching and teaching
Experience preparing and presenting to large group of professionals
Proven ability to simultaneously handle a wide assortment of projects involving several departments and locations
Project management experience
Must possess mobility to work in a standard plant and office setting and to use standard office equipment, including computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
