Responsibilities
Support the design and evolution of data architecture within a Databricks-based data lake environment, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics layers
Translate high-level architectural standards into practical, implementable designs for delivery teams
Contribute to technical documentation, including solution diagrams, data models, and architecture artifacts
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory expectations
Support integration planning across IT, OT, cybersecurity, and enterprise data platforms, identifying dependencies and technical risks
Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and platform teams to embed security and governance into analytics solutions
Help assess technical feasibility of proposed solutions and identify potential design constraints
Document data flows, system interactions, data lineage, and security considerations
Maintain clear and structured technical documentation that supports ongoing operations and future enhancements
Contribute to reusable architecture patterns, templates, and delivery accelerators to improve consistency and efficiency
Partner closely with project managers, engineers, and technical teams to ensure alignment with architecture standards and best practices
Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and solution planning sessions
Act as a technical thought partner to delivery teams, helping resolve architecture-related challenges
Qualification
Required
4–7+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Science, Data Platform Engineering, Solutions Architecture (Data/Analytics focus)
Hands-on experience with Databricks or comparable modern cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS Lakehouse, Google BigQuery)
Strong understanding of: Data architecture and data lake concepts, Data governance and data management principles, System integration patterns and enterprise data flows
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including business leaders and project managers
Preferred
Experience working in or supporting: Cybersecurity initiatives, Operational Technology (OT) environments, Highly regulated industries (utilities, energy, transportation, finance, or government)
Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks or governance processes
Prior consulting, client-facing, or advisory experience
