Responsibilities
Lead a team focused on financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, and budgeting
Coordinate the financial planning and budgeting process across the organization
Establish and enforce closing schedules and procedures
Develop and document internal control policies and procedures related to budget administration, and cash and credit management
Monitor and refine our accounting policies and procedures as necessary
Stay informed about changes in organizational policies, federal and state directives, and accounting standards
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial forecasts, annual budgets, and regulatory reports
Analyze financial statements to identify trends and unusual variations
Provide guidance to other organizational units on accounting and budgeting policies, and effective utilization of financial resources
Evaluate financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify growth opportunities and areas needing improvement
Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions
Monitor financial activities and metrics, including cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Execute additional duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience, including supervisory roles
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required
Proficiency in Excel, accounts payable, and accounting is required
Independent, detail-oriented, and accurate
Familiar with policies, procedures, and regulations related to confidentiality
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred
Prior experience with finance businesses and financing structures
Familiarity with investment statements and taxes
