Responsibilities

Strategic Territory Leadership: Formulate and execute a "Beltway-focused" sales strategy to capture market share within assigned Civilian and Defense accounts
High-Level Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain a robust network of C-suite and SES-level contacts (CISOs, CIOs, and Program Managers) across the federal ecosystem
Architecting Compliance & Security: Align our solution suite with key federal mandates, specifically translating how our technology supports NIST SP 800-53 , NIST 800-171 , and the broader Executive Order on Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity
Capture & Proposal Management: Lead the charge on complex RFP/RFI responses, ensuring our value proposition is clearly articulated within the framework of federal acquisition regulations (FAR)
Channel & GSI Synergy: Leverage existing relationships with top-tier Federal System Integrators (FSIs) and regional value-added resellers to accelerate deal flow and implementation
Mission Advocacy: Serve as a thought leader at local industry events (e.g., AFCEA, AUSA) to raise the profile of proactive security validation

Qualification

Required

7+ years of direct field sales experience selling high-complexity software to federal agencies, with a focus on the DMV region
Consistent history of closing multi-million dollar deals and exceeding $2M+ annual quotas in the federal space
Deep familiarity with the federal security landscape, including FedRAMP authorization processes and NIST risk management frameworks
Expert-level knowledge of federal buying cycles, fiscal year-end surges, and major contract vehicles (e.g., NASA SEWP, GSA MAS, SouceMV)
Eligibility for a clearance is mandatory
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline

Preferred

Active Top Secret (TS) or TS/SCI clearance is highly preferred
MBA or advanced cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM) are a significant plus
