Responsibilities
Assist other laboratory personnel with assigned chemical, mechanical, and physical laboratory experiments and tests, mostly standard in nature, to obtain data pertinent to the solution of specific problems or to evaluate compositions
Record data from experiments performed and prepare necessary reports, charts, and graphs as required
Operate laboratory equipment in performing assigned experiments
Observe effects and variations in assigned experiments; accurately record observations and communicate observations to experienced laboratory personnel to provide guidance on modifications to experimental condition
Use safe practices and good housekeeping in performance of job duties. Understand the hazards associated with assigned work activity and abide by established procedures in the handling and use of materials
Other essential duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
High School graduate or equivalent required
Moderate knowledge of laboratory equipment, products being tested, product and customer standards
No prior experience required but aptitude for science and math is needed
Preferred
AA or bachelor's degree in science/engineering discipline preferred
