Responsibilities
Issue POs to steel pipe suppliers as required
Manage and maintain steel pipe inventory levels at assigned VSN locations
When applicable, move steel pipe between VSN locations to support demand
Obtain 30-day price sheets from all supplier partners
Quote and negotiate steel pipe for specific customer projects
Communicate any VSN quality issues to suppliers, and request resolution
Resolve any supplier invoice discrepancies
Work with VSN locations to identify "deadstock" and determine plan to use up
Support resolution of any steel pipe field claims
Understand supplier partner rebate programs, and potential impact on net price
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Associates degree
5+ years experience in steel pipe or pipe fabrication business
Microsoft Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated
Normal mental/visual Attention
Normal office environment
Occasional travel
