ServiceNow Platform Administrator
Blu Omega is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Platform Administrator to serve as the hands-on owner of an enterprise-scale ServiceNow environment supporting mission-critical operations for a federal client. The successful candidate will administer, secure, and modernize the ServiceNow platform while ensuring system health, compliance, and reliability across multiple environments.
Responsibilities
Serve as the hands-on platform owner for the ServiceNow environment, responsible for day-to-day Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of production systems
Ownership of enterprise production environments, including platform configuration, CMDB management at scale, Service Catalog development, business rules and scripting, reporting, system upgrades, and multi-environment (dev/test/prod) management
Manage platform-level services such as disaster recovery planning, upgrades, license management, digital certificates, encryption keys, and change control
Implement and maintain endpoint protection and security integrations, ensuring devices are secured, compliant, and aligned with organizational security policies
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead incident response efforts related to platform stability and security
Identify technical debt and modernization opportunities, leading initiatives to improve scalability, automation, and security posture
Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, design enterprise-grade solutions, and implement new features or enhancements
Maintain a proactive approach to system health, security compliance, and operational excellence
Qualification
Required
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform administration with direct ownership of enterprise production environments
Expertise in core platform areas: CMDB management/governance, Service Catalog, and advanced workflow development
Proven ability in writing Business Rules and scripting (JavaScript), and managing system upgrades across multi-environment (Dev/Test/Prod) stacks
Ability to clearly articulate how technical solutions were implemented, including the logic behind configuration decisions and trade-offs
Practical experience integrating or supporting endpoint security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Tanium, or Sentinel) within ServiceNow or broader ITSM frameworks
Preferred
Experience with SOAP Web Services, SAML, Active Directory, or LDAP integrations
ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Foundation certification
Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments (federal, healthcare, financial services, or similar)
Familiarity with government clients and clearance processes
Experience supporting security-focused or compliance-driven environments
