Responsibilities
Key activities for this position will include contributing significantly to strategic FHIR specific projects, building agency-level readiness and capacity to adopt public health FHIR solutions, development of a Client FHIR roadmap, supporting HL7 FHIR interoperability projects such as HL7 Helios FHIR Accelerator focus areas (i.e., implementation support of query and response or aggregate data priority areas), and supporting Client electronic data interchange (EDI) Interoperability Infrastructure & Architecture enhancement activities in alignment with Client data modernization efforts
As a member of the Office of Informatics and Analytics, this individual will get exposure and experience in the use and development of interoperability standards, like HL7, and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of informatics projects including system integration, system interoperability, electronic health record implementation, and specific public health reporting projects
Qualification
Required
Experience working with HL7 FHIR, including any FHIR-based projects, implementations, or interoperability initiatives you have supported
Experience working with public health agencies, healthcare organizations, or health IT systems (e.g., EHRs, health information exchanges, public health reporting systems)
Comfortable with occasional in-state or out-of-state travel and participating in presentations or public speaking engagements as part of this role
Comfortable working on-site in Nashville, TN
