Responsibilities
Receive and log samples and supplies into tracking systems
Prepare and label samples according to established protocols
Perform reagent preparation and basic sample handling
Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab workspaces and glassware
Safely dispose of samples according to lab guidelines
Track and manage sample inventory to ensure efficient workflow
Perform routine QA tasks under Quality Management Systems (QMS) standards
Enter data and results accurately into LIMS
Communicate effectively with lab personnel regarding sample status, issues, and timelines
Operate LIMS to document, track, and report sample data
Assist with equipment calibration and routine verification procedures
The contract is 6-months and most likely will not be extended, however it could open the door for jobs there in the future
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree in a life sciences-related field required; recent Bachelor's graduates will also be considered
Strong desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
Technically adept, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn Labworks LIMS software
Must be reliable, organized, and detail-focused
Preferred
Academic lab coursework or experience preferred—must understand basic lab etiquette and procedures
