Responsibilities

Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets along with performing analysis of complex structures
Assist senior engineers in proposals, project coordination, and client communications
Prepare design calculations and drawings in accordance with applicable design codes, and also prepare engineering reports and other technical documents
Prepare standard construction documents, such as technical specifications and tender documents
Conduct bridge inspections, load rating analyses, seismic evaluations, and retrofit/rehabilitation studies
Provide support during construction, including submittal reviews and site visits and perform other responsibilities as required

Required

Hold a bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Registered as California PE in the home state or can obtain within 12 months of employment
Minimum of 5+ years of related experience in Bridge Design or an equivalent
Familiar with the use of structural design codes such as AASHTO
Sufficient exposure to structural analysis software programs (ex: SOFiSTiK, CSiBridge, MIDAS, LARSA)
Conversant in the use of engineering software such as Excel and Mathcad to efficiently produce engineering calculations
Knowledgeable in parametric conceptual designs

Preferred

Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Use of programming environments like Grasshopper and Dynamo would be beneficial
