Responsibilities
Manage the governance of the BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures for the US, ensuring updates align with Partner Bank requirements, and ensure the adherence to the AML/CFT Global Program
Stay current on changes in regulatory guidance and regulations, particularly those concerning the Genius Act and the digital asset environment
Manage inbound information requests (RFIs) from stakeholders, including those related to law enforcement subpoenas, 314(a), 314(b), audit, and regulatory matters. Serve as the main contact with the BSA Operations team
Support various stakeholders (including 1LOD, third-party vendors, and Legal) in understanding BSA program requirements
Collaborate with 1LOD to evaluate new products, services, and market segments. Outline AML and Sanctions risks, define necessary controls, and escalate concerns to the BSA Officer and Risk management promptly
Support the management on key risk indicators (KRIs) and performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement
Annual Risk Assessment: Assist in the annual BSA, AML, and OFAC risk assessment, coordinating information with various stakeholders
Monitoring and Testing: Contribute to the development of the monitoring and testing plan, including any Global Program requirements
Ad Hoc Support: Assist with ad hoc requests and tasks from the Partner Bank and other projects assigned by management including international efforts
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's, Master's, or Law degree is required in a discipline such as Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, or a Risk Management-related field
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, ideally within AML, Sanctions, Risk Management, or other control functions
Prior experience in monitoring/testing or quality control roles in AML, Audit or Risk
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to translate complex technical data into actionable business insights
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders across various teams and seniority levels
Willingness to relocate to Miami, FL
Preferred
Prior management experience is preferred
Prior investigations experience in the digital asset, payments, and/or Fintech space is a plus
Previous experience collaborating with global teams
Fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish is a plus
Enthusiasm for Artificial Intelligence and coding skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Scala, or similar programming languages) are a plus
