5+ years expApexCore Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician III to support field service projects in Power Transmission, Distribution, and Generation. The technician will be responsible for executing mechanical and electrical tasks, troubleshooting technical requirements, and composing field reports while adhering to industry standards and company procedures.

Responsibilities
Receive assignments and instructions from lead and manager – both verbal and written
Read, understand, and follow guidelines set forth Company procedures, and blueprints when performing assigned work
Select proper materials and parts for assembly operations
Setup and layout materials and tools for all assembly operations
Maintain the required clearances and dimensions for the voltage classifications specified
Advanced knowledge/troubleshooting experience of electrical testing/theory
Advanced knowledge/troubleshooting experience of controls
Advanced knowledge/troubleshooting experience of oil processing
Understand and interpret blueprints
Compose Field Reports (Daily Activity reports, etc.) and any other job site, customer specific reports to management/customer in a timely manner
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Advanced post-high school level education in lieu of 5 years of industry specific work experience
Utility experience
Report writing experience
Valid Driver's License
Advanced knowledge/troubleshooting experience of electrical testing/theory
Advanced knowledge/troubleshooting experience of controls
Advanced knowledge/troubleshooting experience of oil processing
Mechanically inclined and have basic knowledge of hand tools
Understanding of transformer/industry specifications to be able to troubleshoot/analyze data
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
Basic understanding of operating heavy machinery/equipment
Self-directed, positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions/directions
Advanced computer skills
Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
Ability to remain in a standing position 90% of the time
Ability to travel 95% of the time to different job sites throughout the region
Ability to operate heavy machinery, climb, and work at heights
Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 lbs
