Responsibilities
Drive the implementation of fund finance strategies that support the bank's business objectives and enhance client service offerings
Manage relationships with key clients, investors, and internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are tailored, compliant, and competitive
Oversee risk management practices related to fund finance products, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, risk, and product development to deliver integrated financial solutions
Monitor market trends and regulatory changes impacting fund finance, adjusting strategies proactively to maintain the bank's market leadership
Lead initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, leveraging technology and process enhancements to scale capabilities
Represent Standard Chartered in industry forums and support business development efforts to expand the bank's footprint in the Americas fund finance market
Developing and implementing fund finance strategies tailored to the Americas region's market and regulatory environment
Ensuring the delivery of high-quality fund finance services, including structuring, pricing, and documentation excellence
Partnering with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and policies
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiencies while maintaining risk controls
Providing thought leadership in fund finance trends, innovation, and market developments within the region
Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, or similar are advantageous
Extensive experience (typically over 10 years) in fund finance or related financial services, with a proven track record of managing and developing teams
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with a thorough understanding of fund structures, capital markets, and financing instruments
Demonstrated success in navigating complex regulatory environments within the Americas region
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
Ability to lead strategic initiatives and adapt to evolving market conditions
Experience in risk management and compliance relevant to fund finance products
