Private Equity Club is seeking a Vice President of Accounting who will oversee the company’s accounting function and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role provides executive leadership in accounting operations, financial controls, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, close process, and financial reporting
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP) and regulatory requirements
Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
Oversee statutory reporting, tax accounting coordination, and external audits
Partner with the CFO on financial planning, reporting, and governance matters
Manage accounting implications of complex transactions, including M&A, restructuring, and investments
Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing accounting team
Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and regulators
Support system implementations, process improvements, and accounting automation initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree preferred
CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification required
20+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior leadership roles
Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with complex financial structures
Proven leadership experience managing large or distributed accounting teams

Preferred

Experience in a multinational or publicly listed company
Experience with IPO preparation, SEC reporting, or regulatory filings
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial transformation initiatives
Experience in [industry-specific field, e.g., manufacturing, technology, financial services]
