They are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic IV to perform skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and construction of buildings and facilities, requiring specialization in multiple technical trades.

Responsibilities
Perform skilled work in the maintenance, repair and/or construction of buildings and facilities
Specialize in two or more technical trades in connection with maintenance of facilities, related equipment and machinery
Function at the journey level in multiple skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, heating and air, or similar specializations
Plan and coordinate multiple trade disciplines for complex work assignments
Refer unusual work problems to their supervisor for consideration and final determination
Provide technical guidance to other positions engaged in skilled, semiskilled or unskilled maintenance work
Ensure that work performed adheres to established maintenance, repair and/or construction standards
Qualification
Required
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two (2) years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Considerable knowledge of the methods, practices, and materials used in general maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery
Skill in the use of tools required in various technically complex trades
Ability to understand and work from sketches or penciled drawings
Ability to operate the more common types of machine shop or woodworking power equipment
Ability to guide the work of skilled workers
Ability to read and interpret building codes
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Physical strength sufficient to perform heavy physical tasks for extended periods of time
May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F
