Responsibilities

Perform the ultrasonic C scan and metallographic evaluation to characterize indications located by ultrasonic inspections
Coordinate and maintain the results database for analytical purposes
Mount, polish, and etch per lab instructions
Use a microscope to evaluate the grain structure
Become certified as a Level II Ultrasonic C-scan technician
Prepare C-scan samples utilizing a saw and/or lathe
Schedule and prioritize samples
Troubleshoot problems
Engage in activities that promote growth in knowledge necessary to perform essential tasks
Assist in routine Laboratory operations and/or perform other work as directed
Perform normal mechanical servicing and minor repairs of equipment
Maintain work areas in a clean orderly condition

Required

Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
Basic computer skills
Ability to read a caliper and tape measure
Ability to read and follow written procedures
Required to pass In-dept vision screening
Pass Sonic Assessment

Preferred

High School Diploma or GE
At least one (1) year of manufacturing experience
Previous experience in quality assurance is a plus
Previous experience in ultrasonic experience is a plus
