Responsibilities
Provide senior-level engineering and architecture support for secure network environments within enterprise and hybrid infrastructures
Develop, enhance, and validate secure network architecture designs aligned with federal security standards and program requirements
Recommend and implement network security controls, including boundary protection, segmentation, monitoring, and cybersecurity hardening techniques
Participate in technical design reviews, engineering working groups, and security architecture discussions
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design artifacts, diagrams, standards, and integration plans
Assist stakeholders in planning and executing secure integration of new technologies or capabilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between network architecture and overall cybersecurity strategies
Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for security improvement across network environments
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. citizenship with an active Public Trust (MBI) clearance
Bachelor of Science in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or related field
10+ years of professional experience in network engineering, network architecture, or network security
Active CISSP certification
Extensive experience with enterprise network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, secure routing/switching, and cloud-based network security solutions
Strong understanding of network security best practices, federal cybersecurity standards, and secure system design principles
Preferred
Experience supporting Treasury or IRS programs
Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture principles and implementation strategies
Experience in hybrid (on-prem/cloud) environments such as AWS, Azure, or similar platforms
