The Quality Assurance Lab Technician is responsible for conducting food safety and quality checks, maintaining documentation, calibrating lab equipment, and supporting the development of food safety and quality programs.

Responsibilities
Conduct food safety and quality checks, including sensory, for finished products, work-in-progress, and ingredients to meet specifications. Follow established protocol for out of specification results
Work with and assist customer departments to maintain the quality of our products
Maintain proper documentation of lab test results in lab data management system and on necessary paperwork, as required
Calibrate lab equipment as required
Obtain samples using proper aseptic methods
Review and evaluate Operations and QA documentation for accuracy and completion
Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices, and personal safety guidelines
Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Food Safety & Quality
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must work well in a team environment
Maintain adherence to work hours scheduled specifically starting, ending, lunch and break schedules
Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines
Be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles
High School diploma or equivalent
Laboratory Experience and/or actively pursuing a degree
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong oral and written communication skills
