Responsibilities
Lead purchasing activities for all production and non-production materials, ensuring alignment with build schedules and demand forecasts
Negotiate supplier pricing, contracts, and terms to drive cost competitiveness and reliable supply
Develop and manage supplier scorecards, conducting regular reviews for quality, cost, and delivery performance
Partner with Engineering and Program Management to source new components and manage supply risks
Ensure timely issuance, acknowledgment, and tracking of all purchase orders within NetSuite ERP
Maintain real-time inventory visibility across multiple work centers using NetSuite WMS
Enforce inventory control procedures, ensuring accuracy of 98% or higher
Lead cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of variances, identifying and resolving root causes
Minimize excess, obsolete, or returned materials through proactive planning and reporting
Provide regular dashboards for inventory accuracy, velocity, and material aging
Oversee receiving, put-away, storage, kitting, staging, and outbound shipment of materials
Optimize warehouse layout and flow for maximum efficiency, accuracy, and safety
Ensure compliance with TSS standards for labeling, traceability, and material handling
Manage inbound and outbound freight, ensuring 99% accuracy and 95% on-time delivery
Implement and sustain 5S and Lean best practices to maintain organization and efficiency
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of buyers, warehouse staff, and inventory control specialists
Define and track key performance metrics: supplier on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, cycle-time reduction, and throughput per labor hour
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Finance, and IT to align materials processes with operational and financial goals
Champion digital transformation by improving automation and reporting capabilities within NetSuite
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing or technology-integration environment
Proven leadership experience managing teams in high-mix, low-volume production settings
Advanced proficiency in NetSuite ERP/WMS and strong Excel/data-analysis skills
Expertise in purchasing, logistics, and warehouse best practices
Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field
Knowledge of SOX or public-company audit compliance
