Responsibilities
Support sales and client solutions teams by providing timely, practical legal guidance that enables deal execution while managing risk
Advise on federal and state insurance laws and regulations applicable to TPAs, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and state TPA licensing requirements
Interpret regulatory changes and assess impact on client contracts, service models, and product offerings
Identify legal and operational risks associated with client solutions, benefit administration, and data handling
Act as a trusted advisor balancing legal requirements with business strategy
Support executive leadership with governance matters impacting client solutions
Qualification
Required
J.D. and active bar membership
8+ years of relevant legal experience in health benefits, self-funded plans, or TPAs
Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and multi-state TPA compliance
Experience negotiating complex contracts
