Test Automation Engineer – Tricentis SME
CACG, LLC is a mission-driven technology firm specializing in delivering secure, scalable, and impactful services across the federal landscape. They are seeking a Test Automation Engineer with expertise in the Tricentis testing ecosystem to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing solutions.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary SME for Tricentis Tosca (and related tools such as qTest, Test Data Management, and Service Virtualization)
Design, develop, and maintain model-based automated test cases using Tricentis Tosca
Define automation standards, frameworks, and best practices using Tricentis tools
Lead Tricentis tool configuration, upgrades, and integrations
Develop and execute automated test strategies for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
Translate business requirements and technical specifications into automated test scenarios
Ensure adequate test coverage across web, API, desktop, and packaged applications (e.g., SAP, Salesforce)
Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams on root cause analysis
Integrate Tricentis automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab)
Support continuous testing initiatives aligned with Agile and DevOps practices
Optimize test execution for performance, reliability, and scalability
Partner with developers, QA analysts, and product owners throughout the SDLC
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to QA and automation team members on Tricentis tools
Contribute to test automation roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
8-10 years of hands-on experience in test automation, with a significant portion focused on leveraging Tricentis Test Automation and CI/CD DevOps Automation
Performed client work in a Federal (DoD preferably) environment (Program Management Office (PMO) or Program Executive Office (PEO)) supporting large scale implementations
Experience leading or architecting automation solutions across multiple teams or programs
Familiarity with cloud-based applications and AWS environment

Experience providing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services for independently assessing, validating, and executing developer-produced automated test assets
Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca (Modules, TestCases, ExecutionLists, ScratchBook, DEX), Model-based test automation, API testing and service virtualization, and Test data management
Experience testing enterprise applications (web, API, and packaged apps such as Business Process Management (BPM) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM), or similar)
Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Lean Agile/Scrum, SAFe and DevOps methodologies
