This role involves leading engineering efforts, integrating various systems, and mentoring teams while engaging with stakeholders to translate business goals into actionable plans.

Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end Ecommerce Engineering Role: web, APIs, integrations, data flows, observability, and security
Integrate ERP for order to cash, pricing, inventory, shipping, returns; Implement sales and use tax integrations (Avalara/Vertex/Sovos) across checkout, invoicing, returns; Handle exemptions and reconciliation with Finance; Orchestrate flows across Shopify/Adobe Commerce, PIM/DAM, payment gateways (Stripe/FiServ), search, and martech
Architect AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) for Sites, Assets, Headless (Content Services/GraphQL); Define integration patterns with ecommerce and caching strategies
Define REST/GraphQL contracts, API gateways, webhook/event models, authentication/authorization; Champion cloud-native delivery: AWS/Azure; Implement observability
Lead onshore-offshore squads; Mentor engineers; set coding standards, code review rigor; Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations; Translate business goals into roadmaps and architectural decisions with clear tradeoffs
Qualification
Required
10+ years in software engineering with 8+ years in solution architecture for ecommerce or high scale digital products
Proven hands-on expertise across Front end/Web: JavaScript, React, Next.js, TypeScript, performance and accessibility best practices
Back end/APIs: CMS: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)-Sites, Assets, Headless/ personalization
Ecommerce Platforms: Shopify and/or Adobe Commerce (Magento) customization and integrations
Payments: Stripe, FinServ (or similar gateways) including PCI-aware designs
ERP Integration: Order, pricing, fulfillment, returns
Sales & Use Tax: Avalara/Vertex/Sovos configuration, exemptions, and reconciliation/reporting
Cloud & DevOps: AWS/Azure/Heroku, CI/CD
