Lead Facilities Engineer
JLL is a leading global provider of real estate and investment management services, and they are seeking a Lead Facilities Engineer to oversee facility operations. This role involves ensuring compliance with government regulations, leading a team of engineers, and maintaining building systems to optimize safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities
Safely operate facilities in accordance with all applicable government and regulatory requirements while demonstrating and enforcing safety rules, identifying hazards, and participating in incident investigations
Perform maintenance and monitoring repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, control, and fire life safety systems while maintaining HVAC systems and equipment at optimum levels
Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation while complying with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
Monitor pricing and work quality of outside contractors while reviewing monthly Client Service Request summaries to identify and correct recurrent operational problems
Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner while assisting site Facility Management team with emergency situations and taking appropriate actions
Lead team of Engineers and Maintenance Technicians to ensure work orders are completed properly and efficiently while maintaining clean and safe workplace standards
Apply thorough knowledge of building systems to achieve optimal operating costs, especially energy efficiency, while satisfying customer requirements and maintaining system performance
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or state equivalent with minimum of two years of college or related trade schooling
Minimum of four years' experience in electrician trade or related field, OR minimum of four years' experience in HVAC/refrigeration trade or related field
Valid U.S. driver's license with clean driving record for site mobility and emergency response requirements
Ability to perform all work using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while following safety policies, procedures, and practices
Thorough knowledge of building systems including thermodynamic, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as computer-controlled equipment
Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel for documentation and reporting purposes
Physical ability to perform frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 80 lbs., and working from heights up to 30 feet
Preferred
Prior leadership experience in facilities management or engineering environments for effective team management
01/07 electrical certification for enhanced electrical system maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities
Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Background in energy management and cost optimization strategies for commercial building operations
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements including environmental health and safety standards
Experience with emergency response procedures and crisis management in commercial facilities
Understanding of preventive maintenance programs and equipment lifecycle management principles
