Responsibilities
Managing water resources projects, including storm drainage design, stormwater management plans, and bridge and culvert hydraulic analysis
Collaborating with team members to design and implement effective solutions that comply with regulatory requirements
Completing scopes of work and workday estimates
Conducting site assessments
Developing project plans
Reviewing designs completed by junior staff members to ensure project goals are met
Reviewing consultant plans for NCDOT and other municipal clients
Qualification
Required
8 or more years of experience in Hydraulics & Hydrologic Modeling, Storm Drainage Design, and Erosion Control Design
Proficiency with Open Roads Designer (ORD)
Strong understanding of federal and state regulations related to environmental compliance
Experience with NCDOT Guidelines and Procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe
