Government Sales Executive

Batteries Plus is looking for a Government Sales Executive to develop and manage government sales opportunities across federal, state, and local agencies. This role focuses on driving strategic growth within the government sector by leveraging existing contracts and building strong agency relationships.

Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and develop government sales opportunities across federal, state, and local agencies
Build and maintain relationships with government decision-makers, procurement officers, and agency stakeholders
Manage assigned government accounts to ensure satisfaction, contract compliance, and long-term growth
Support and administer government contracts, including GSA pricing, reporting, updates, and renewals
Serve as a subject matter expert on government procurement processes and compliance requirements
Partner with franchisees and field teams to ensure local execution aligns with government program standards
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to execute government initiatives
Provide training, guidance, and enablement to internal teams and franchise partners on government programs
Track, analyze, and report on government sales performance, pipeline activity, and growth opportunities
Support sales planning, forecasting, and leadership reporting for the government sales channel

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or program/contract management
Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounts and support compliant sales programs
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to track metrics and deliver data-driven insights
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience such as Salesforce preferred
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight stays, as business needs require

Preferred

Experience with government sales, public-sector procurement, or GSA contracting strongly preferred
Experience supporting franchise or multi-location business models preferred
