Responsibilities

Own the operational health and ongoing evolution of Azure and Databricks platform services
Serve as the lead engineer coordinating work across onshore and offshore engineering teams
Oversee identity and access management, virtual machine operations, and core platform services
Support and enhance existing AKS, data, and automation environments
Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines with a focus on reliability and repeatability
Contribute to platform observability efforts and assist with tooling adoption where needed
Work onsite in St. Louis four days per week in a collaborative engineering environment

Required

6–8+ years of experience in platform engineering or cloud infrastructure roles, with significant hands-on work in Azure environments
Advanced, hands-on expertise with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and platform automation
Strong background in Azure platform operations, including governance, identity, networking, and virtual machine management
Extensive experience working with Kubernetes (AKS), Helm, and Docker, including managing and supporting existing cluster environments
Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, primarily using Azure DevOps, with exposure to GitHub Actions as a secondary tool
Solid experience supporting data platforms, including Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, and cloud-based data lake architectures
Strong understanding of cloud-native design patterns, containerized workloads, and distributed systems
Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, role-based access control, and group management
Experience managing secrets and keys using Azure Key Vault
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
Working knowledge of cloud networking concepts and security best practices
Prior experience acting as a technical lead or senior engineer, providing guidance and oversight to distributed teams

Preferred

Experience implementing or operating Dynatrace, including initial setup, alerting, anomaly detection, and dashboard creation
Familiarity with Unity Catalog within Databricks environments
Strong background in Active Directory administration and identity integrations
Exposure to GitHub Actions in enterprise CI/CD workflows
Experience contributing to the build-out or standardization of Kubernetes platforms
