Responsibilities
Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work products
Prepare Equipment Specifications, Data Sheets, and Material/Service Requisitions for the procurement of engineered equipment and services
Lead vendor meetings, maintain action item list, and follow up on actions
Review vendor submittals and ensure requirements are met
Evaluate supplier deviations and impacts
Coordinate with other disciplines, functions, vendors, and subcontractors
Lead a small team of engineers overseeing the procurement work across all Mechanical group scope
Learn and use Bechtel’s Digital Supply Chain System
Maintain commercial awareness regarding potential changes
Qualification
Required
Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical (or related) Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional work experience for Level I
Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical (or related) Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional work experience for Level II
Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Experience with Document Submittal Requirements, Vendor Document Reviews, and associated interdisciplinary coordination
Experience with fabrication process and Inspection and Test Plan requirements
Experience with change management process (both Buyer and Seller initiated changes)
Experience in working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ASME-NQA-1, MIL-Q-9858A, or ISO-9001
Detail oriented and able to maintain commercial awareness
Solid understanding of mechanical systems and associated equipment
Hands-on Microsoft office programs and other computer programs
Extensive knowledge and application of ANSI/ASME Codes and Standards including ASME B31.1 or B31.3
Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering work processes, procedures, and specifications
Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills
