Director of Architecture
Lose Design is seeking a Director of Architecture to lead their architecture division firm-wide, focusing on client development and profitability. This role involves managing staff, ensuring effective production, and contributing to business development and marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
Responsible for staff and production of architecture department companywide
The director will ensure the division is properly staffed and will work with the Director of Operations, Office Directors and Director of Business services to ensure production is being carried out effectively and efficiently
Responsible for ensuring new staff is trained and productive, that staff are being utilized to optimize their production abilities, and that members are growing in their profession
Director is also charged with ensuring company standards and policies are followed and providing feedback when changes to those standards and Policies are warranted
Assist in carrying out current and long-range objectives, plans and policies
As assigned by executive Management, assist in dispensing advice, guidance, direction to carry out major plans and procedures consistent with Board of Director established goals and policies
Represent the company with identified customers, and the public. Marketing the firm and creating new client opportunities, also representing the firm on new client interviews
As assigned attend conferences for marketing purposes and make presentations
Assist with creating and promoting a positive company image and morale through sound and ethical business practices. Provide leadership which stimulates positive motivation and morale to employees and projects a favorable professional image to peers, clients, and the community
Assist with identifying mutually beneficial business development strategies with other firms
Assist in identifying liability to the firm and limiting exposure
Assist in ensuring a high-quality service is provided to clients, act as required to maintain the firm’s reputation for excellence in design
Development of project agreements/contracts
Development and signing of subconsultant agreements
Assisting with projects including project Management as needed
Qualification
Required
Must be licensed to practice Architecture in one or more states in the United States of America
Must have strong leadership skills
Experience with Revit
Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills
