Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the preparation, organization, and submission of drawings for transportation and infrastructure projects
Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish project requirements and discuss design concepts
Manage the development of contract documents and ensure adherence to quality control procedures throughout the plan development process
Ensure projects stay within budget and schedule while adhering to scope requirements
Independently manage and lead projects in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia area, ensuring compliance with industry standards and requirements
Actively participate in business development and project pursuits, contributing to the firm’s growth
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with advanced training and professional experience
8+ years of post-education experience delivering technical engineering services for infrastructure projects
Extensive experience in infrastructure design, including roadway, utility, drainage, and stormwater management systems
Advanced proficiency in OpenRoads and MicroStation software
Professional Engineer (PE) certification
In-depth knowledge of transportation-related infrastructure design in highly urban settings, including roadways, streetscapes, stormwater systems, and erosion and sediment control
Familiarity with departments of transportation procedures and industry regulations
Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients via phone, email, and in-person
