Senior Program Coordinator - Education, Groups, and Events
NY LGBT Network seeks qualified candidates for a full-time Senior Program Coordinator to expand access to gender affirming care and strengthen family support services. This role will support the design and launch of an expanded program area, facilitating groups, conducting outreach, and delivering community education.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain a program serving LGBTQ youth and their families
Plan and facilitate short-term supportive and psychoeducational groups for youth on specialized topics such as neurodivergence, gender diversity, immigrant communities, and other emerging needs
Establish an educational and peer support program for parents and caregivers of LGBTQ youth to create spaces where families can share experiences and learn from one another
Develop and coordinate special programs that support youth well-being, community-building, and family engagement
Build and foster community relationships with schools and youth-serving organizations to identify and engage youth in programs
Conduct community outreach, program promotion, and program follow-up through face-to-face engagement, social media, phone, email, and text to increase participation in programs, services, and events
Conduct online outreach, program promotion, and follow-up on social media platforms such as Discord and TikTok, including the creation of youth-friendly content
Build and maintain an up-to-date database of gender affirming services and providers in New York City
Network with gender affirming care providers and health and human service professionals to strengthen warm hand-off referrals
Coordinate activities and events that familiarize the community with available gender affirming services available throughout NYC, including an annual Gender Affirming Resource Fair
Provide referrals and linkage to support services that address needs impacting participant well-being
Deliver LGBTQ sensitivity and gender affirming care informational workshops for parents, health and human service providers, and medical professionals
Coordinate and deliver existing school-based programs such as bullying prevention, youth leadership, and empowerment programs for middle and high school students
Build and foster community relationships to recruit schools and organizations as sites to deliver community education workshops and trainings
Participate in the planning of large-scale programs and events such as the annual LGBT Youth Conference and various Pride Initiatives

Qualification
Required
Three or more years of work experience in the non-profit field; experience in youth and family services and/or gender affirming services highly preferred
Group facilitation experience required
Awareness of, and commitment to, the LGBTQ community
Strong public speaking and networking skills
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Flexible schedule required, including after-school hours, evenings, and some weekends
People who represent the community being served are strongly encouraged to apply
Preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred
