Senior Manager, Revenue Cycle Management & Operations
Good Shepherd Rehabilitation is seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue Cycle Management & Operations to oversee the strategic administration and optimization of the organization's revenue cycle. This leadership role will focus on managing outsourced revenue cycle vendors, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements across various financial operations.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for external revenue cycle management partners
Hold the vendor accountable for performance against contractual Service Level Agreements and established KPIs (e.g., Days in AR, Clean Claim Rate, Denial Rate, Collection Rate)
Monitor and interpret all terms of the outsourced revenue cycle agreement
Identify risks and opportunities related to vendor performance, escalating concerns to senior leadership as needed
Design and implement robust dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track vendor performance weekly and monthly
Conduct regular business reviews with the vendor and internal stakeholders
Proactively collaborate with the outsourced partner to identify and implement new strategies for process improvement, technology utilization, and revenue optimization within the outsourced scope
Develop and execute the long-term strategic plan for the revenue cycle, aligning operations with the organization’s financial goals and mission
Ensure 100% compliance with all governmental and third-party payer regulations (Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, etc.)
Stay current on changes to regulations and implement necessary procedural adjustments organization-wide
Oversee the analysis of accounts receivable, including AR reserve analysis, write-offs, and adjustments, working in coordination with Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and audit readiness
Coordinate and prepare for year-end and ad-hoc audits with public accounting firms
Generate accurate daily, monthly, and yearly statistical and financial reports to inform strategic decisions
Monitor and maintain the accuracy and compliance of all Single Case Agreements (SCAs), ensuring proper documentation, timely expiration management, and accurate payment application in coordination with the contracting and patient accounts teams
Oversee the administration and compliance of the Organization's Charity Care Program policies
Lead, mentor, and guide the internal Patient Accounts team, focusing their efforts on vendor governance, complex issue resolution, and core internal functions
Establish and maintain consistent, clear, and concise communication with executive leadership regarding revenue cycle performance, key metrics (KPIs), identification of critical issues and trends, and progress on strategic initiatives
Oversee the maintenance and integrity of the Charge Master and ensure proper functioning and maintenance of all financial and clinical system interfaces
Partner closely with the Patient Access leadership to influence and drive efficiencies in patient access functions (e.g., registration, scheduling, insurance verification)
Ensure high-quality data capture, which is foundational to the entire revenue cycle's success
Act as the final escalation point for complex claims, billing, or patient account issues that cannot be resolved by the outsourced vendor or internal staff, regardless of where the root cause originated
Champion patient-friendly billing guidelines and ensure outstanding customer service is provided for patient inquiries regarding billing and accounts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or a related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with demonstrated success in managing large-scale outsourced revenue cycle engagements required
Preferred
Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CHFP, CRCR, CPC) is highly preferred
Previous supervisory experience preferred
