Responsibilities

Managing a Human Resources Office providing a full range of human resources duties for Chippewa Correctional Facility, Kinross Correctional Facility, and the Northern Regional Business Office
Fostering positive working relationships
Analyzing, interpreting, explaining, and applying policies, rules, regulations, manuals, job aides, and collective bargaining agreements

Required

Excellent managerial and organization skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to plan and think ahead to avoid potential issues
Be able to build and foster positive relationships within the workplace
Ability to analyze, interpret, explain, and apply policies, rules, regulations, manuals, job aides, and collective bargaining agreements
A bachelor's degree or higher in any major
At least one year of professional experience in the state of Michigan classified service
At least four years of professional experience equivalent to a Human Resources Analyst
