Responsibilities
Develop and program integrated software algorithms to structure, analyze and leverage data in product and systems applications in both structured and unstructured environments
Develop and communicate descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive insights/algorithms
Contribute to test plans, perform testing and debugging and investigations for both clinical and bench data
Collaborate with Firmware Engineers to translate algorithms from the development environment into firmware code
Develop and apply deep learning techniques to solve relevant, complex problems for our patients and customers
Use machine language and statistical modeling techniques such as decision trees, logistic regression, Bayesian analysis and others to develop and evaluate algorithms to improve product/system performance, quality, data management and accuracy
Evaluate existing algorithms to improve product/system performance, quality, data management and accuracy
Contribute to field investigations through data aggregation and analysis, modeling, and root cause analysis
Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust solutions
Communicate results and technical concepts through effective visualizations and clear reporting to both technical and non-technical audiences
Document algorithm designs, solutions, recommendations, and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to comply with quality and regulatory requirements and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer/software, biomedical or similar Engineering with 4+ years of experience OR Master's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience, OR PhD with 0 years of experience
Experience designing and developing algorithms, simulations, and models
2+ years experience using programming languages including Python and Matlab
Preferred
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering/Science and/or Data Science
Experience with large scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems and modeling environments
Proven track record of delivering on complex projects
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Medical device development experience, design control, FDA and MDR regulations
Experience in Using machine language and statistical modeling techniques such as decision trees, logistic regression, Bayesian analysis and others to develop and evaluate algorithms to improve product/system performance, quality, data management and accuracy
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, IEC, ISO) and quality management systems
Demonstrate skills in 'systems thinking' – ability to consider problems, implementations, and impacts at a higher system level
Experience in applying deep learning techniques to translate data-driven insights into actionable solutions
Experience in design for six sigma or similar engineering practices
Experience with light based sensing
