Real Time Recruitment Solutions (RTRS) is a confidential, FDA-regulated medical device innovator seeking a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and sustainment of next-generation ultrasound-based medical systems. This role involves deep hardware engineering, solving complex RF/analog challenges, and influencing product direction.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design for complex subsystems (digital, analog, RF, high-power electronics)
Work with RF signals up to several hundred watts; ensure signal integrity, shielding & EMC robustness
Schematic capture & PCB design oversight (DFM/DFT + bring-up + reliability improvements)
Hands-on benchtop testing using oscilloscopes, VNAs, impedance analyzers, power meters, etc
Manage EOL components, design changes & ECOs
Maintain Design History Files (DHF), technical files, and QMS documentation
Create/execute test protocols, contribute to V&V, root-cause investigations & CAPA resolution
Support NPI, troubleshooting, and manufacturing startup
Mentor junior engineers, drive innovation, communicate effectively with cross-functional teams

Required

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering
10+ years developing board-level electronics (digital/analog/RF)
Deep experience with high-power RF, power electronics, cabling, grounding, shielding
Strong lab skills with oscilloscopes, network/impedance analyzers, function generators, etc

Preferred

Embedded microcontrollers
Servo/stepper/actuator experience
Work within ISO 13485 / FDA-regulated environments
Ideally Ultrasound background - highly desirable
